Girls Night -

Yet one more beautiful day here, as I recuperated from 3 days of cooking and clean up, ending up in the garden initially to water our new baby tree and ultimately deciding that there were worse ways to spend the mid-late afternoon than sitting with the sun on my back and the gorgeous village view out in front and just read FB and chill.

Then it was time to meet friends Sue and Jacks up at Planches et Plonk, a village treasure of a wine + charcuterie bar run by expats, now famous, Brits Damon and Graham.  They always ensure an evening of relaxation and camaraderie in their beautiful space, with lovely affordable wines, delicious boards, comfy chairs, and soft inviting lighting.

I got up to the village early b/c apparently I'm hard-wired to never be late to anything ever again in my life, so walked the high street, peering into windows and enjoying the early decorations.

And a lovely time was had by all.  Jacks is off back to home in the UK tomorrow.  As always, the three of us had engaging conversation and I am sorry to see her go.

I hope Graham and Damon will forgive me for sharing the Aftermath photo rather than the gorgeous view of the board that they set down for us.  In our defence, it did take us nearly 2 hours to get the job done...

And then Father Christmas paid a visit!  So, our evening was complete.
